Couple years ago, Nevadans went to the polls and passed the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act. But currently parts of that law banning smoking in certain establishments may be repealed. Senate Judiciary Committee discussed Bill 372 and has now sent it to the Senate floor. So look at the smoking from all sides and what do smokers, non-smokers, and bar and restaurant owners think about Bill 372.From economy side they say that thousands of businesses across the Silver State have lost millions of dollars and have laid folks off left and right. According Bill 372 separated smoking areas are allow in most public places and “circumstances,” such as grocery stores and restaurants, despite the facts that secondhand smoke knows no boundaries and there is no risk-free level of exposure to secondhand smoke.Opposite sideconsider that Bill 372 is simply a bad idea and will end up costing Nevadans more in the long run.

While allowing smoking to return to certain establishments could boost their revenue, from other side opponents of Bill 372 argue that this is really costing our health.But it is critical to remember that the purpose of the ban was not only to protect children from secondhand smoke, but to protect the general public – including non-smoking patrons of bars and restaurants, employees, and even other smokers – from the dangers of secondhand smoke.
